AmCham and Manaseer Sign Agreement

The Manaseer Group and the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham Jordan) signed a one-year partnership agreement that outlines the areas of cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and social responsibility.

The agreement was signed on Sunday, January 24, 2016, by Mr. Qodada, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Ms. Rose Alissi, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce. US Ambassador to the United States, Ms. Alice G. Wells attended the ceremony as well as other representatives of the US Embassy, the board of AmCham Jordan and Manaseer Group.

During the ceremony, Eng. Batineh, Chairman of AmCham Jordan expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, saying “We are proud of the agreement signed today, as it brings together two equally important economic entity in Jordan. We look forward to achieving great success on all levels, including increased trade and investment with the United States.”

Manaseer Group was founded in 1999 by Zaid al Manaseer, who still serves as Chairman of the company. It began as a vehicle to boost economic growth in his native Jordan in 1999, and has grown to include more than 17 subsidiaries, active in infrastructure, energy, business solutions, consumer products and services, and chemicals. The Manaseer Group employs more than 9,000 people in their fuel stations; iron, steel, cement, and concrete manufacturing facilities; as well as their other business ventures.

They act as agents for several American brands including Chevron, Afton Chemicals, Eaton Corporation, Peterbilt Motors, Kenworth Truck, Donaldson Filtration Solutions, Goodyear Global, Cummins Inc., Gilbralso-Veeder Root, and BHNSeed.
